Hilfe bei der Internet einwahl mit Suse Linux 9.2

Hallo NG,

ich habe heute mein Linux System auf Suse Linux 9.2 geupdatet. Seit
dem Update funktioniert mein Modem nicht mehr.

Folgendes Modemprotokoll wird mir angezeigt:

SuSE Meta pppd (smpppd-ifcfg), Version 1.50 on linux.
Status is: disconnected
trying to connect to smpppd
connect to smpppd
Status is: disconnected
Status is: connecting
Status is: disconnected
pppd[0] died: pppd options error (exit code 2)

Was ist falsch eingestellt?

Whoops! Try de.comp.os.linux.networking

man pppd Search 'EXIT CODES'

given, such as two mutually exclusive options being
used.

Something wrong with the options. See if you can figure out how to
pass 'dryrun' (try putting that into /etc/ppp/options), and see
what pppd is complaining about.
