Is there a publicly available browser (on WWW) which actually runs on
the server side?. Let me explain by example: I need to access a website http://www.abc.com:81 but since the website has its http server running on port 81 instead of the default port 80, my firewall prohibits my browser from accessing the URL. Now, I know that i could easily change the firewall settings to allow non-standard ports for http. But i want to know whether there is a public website, such that i can go to the website and put in the URL (non-standard) i want to access and that website would pull the information from the URL that I provide and display the webpage. Something like the babel altavista translator....but fully functional. Thanks, CHinmay |

Try http://localhost:81 The loopback interface doesn't go through the firewall. -- (This space intentionally left blank) |
