Configuration of proftp

Hello,

Is it possible to configure proftp so that an user is restricted to a
directory (by a DefaultRoot directive) but can have access to all the
files of that directory (and subdirs), even if the rights on these files
are not these of the user, and without be root ?

I hope it's clear...

I wish to setup a backup-server where an admin-user could retrieve a
file, whatever the owner of that file (the backup-tool works as root and
preseerves the rights of the files).
