Default HP970Cxi

Dear all
I have FC1 (no changes/updates; just like it ships) using it as a SAMBA
print server for my home workgroup and share authentication and a HP 970Cxi
DeskJet printer.
Though I can see and connect the drivers to this printer, from any windows
2000Pro machine I have, I can not print anything from the windows machines.
Only from the Linux box itself.

Any ideas.
I beleive that this is not problem of the samba config since I also have
connected on the same linux, a HP LaserJet 6L and every windows PC can print
just fine.

Thank you for your time.
Theophanis

Hi Theophanis,

I encountered a similar problem. I had to enable "Raw filter" option. If
you look in the /etc/cups/mime.convs and /etc/cups/mime.types files,
search for "octet" you will find the lines that need to be uncommented.
There are are also explanatory comments there too, telling you why the
lines need to be uncommented.

....Lowel.
