Hi!
I have a strange problem with my ASIX USB2.0 10/100 Ethernet-Adapter. I use it as a 2nd network-"card" on my MSI barebone. It's supported by the 'usbnet' driver and works great as eth1. eth0 is my onboard eepro100 card. Now my problem: If I plug the USB-Adapter into the onboard USB1.1 port, it's running in "full speed" (12MBit) and the transfer speed is about 900KB/s (FTP). That's ok! If I plug it into the USB2.0 PCI-Card (which I have plugged into one of the PCI-slots), then the adapter is running in "high speed" (480Mbit) and the PINGs are faster compared to USB1.1. But then the transfer speed is about 400 and 600KB/s, which is fairly a "little bit" too slow... ;-) It's even slower than USB1.1! I don't know where to tweak. Any hints for me? Further infos needed? Just tell me! thanks in advance! Stefan |
