Default Config bandwidth with NISTNet ?

Hi, folks,

I installed nistnet on Redhat 9 and then did a "Load.Nistnet" to load the
nistnet module. Then, I tried to do a simple setting: set the bandwidth to
10Mbps (the actual network card is 100Mbps).

I did the following:
../cnistnet -a 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 --bandwidth 1250000
../cnistnet up

and I also tried :

../cnistnet -a 192.168.26.6 192.168.26.2 --bandwidth 1250000
../cnistnet up

On the sending side (192.168.26.6) I sent in UDP packets periodically at a
rate of 12Mbps (and also tried 20Mbps). But, on the other side (i.e.
192.168.26.2) I tested the traffic speed with some tools, and found the rate
is not 10Mbps, but still 12Mbps or 20Mbps. Though I can see some icmp
packet warning:

icmp-response bandwidth limit 2358/200 pps

(when I sent in 20Mbps. no such warnings if I sent in lower than 10Mbps).

Is there anything wrong the settings ? My Linux kernel is 2.4.18. I didn't
recompile my kernel, but just follow the instruction on
http://snad.ncsl.nist.gov/itg/nistnet/install.html. My NistNet version is
the current version: 2.0.12.tar.gz

Frank
