Does anybody know if it is supported in Linux? Where can I find the drivers?
I have a ppoatm ADSL ISP.

I just bought it.
I can't do port forwarding.
Normally the settings are done by surfing to a url, so there are normally
no probs with any router ...

A google search reveals a user's guide in html format at this location:

http://www.usr.com/support/9106/9106-ug/installa.htm

Scrolling down the opening page reveals this paragraph:

For Macintosh and Linux users: Insert the CD-ROM and follow the
on-screen instructions. Mac 10 Users: Double-click the CD icon from
your desktop, open Install.htm, and follow the on-screen instructions.

From the user's guide it appears that the device is a dsl modem with a
built-in router, which router assigns ip addresses to the computers
using dhcp on a standard local area network.

So, if the device is set up for windows, it will already be set up for
linux and does not have to be re-configured. All that you should have
to do is to set up your linux box to use standard tcp/ip with dhcp.

If your device has not already been set up using windows, you should be
able to set it up by accessing its firmware using the connection that
was established as above to set up the pppoe connection with the
service provider.

I've suffered greatly of my US Robotics stuborn behaviour concerning port
fowarding. The only advice I can give you is:

Remove all Virtual Servers and IP Triggering rules, set a DMZ host and the
reboot the router.

This method appears to work with my router, don't test using ports 80 or
8080, USR routers appear to do strange things with them as their
webinterface is on one (or more?) of those ports...

Disabling DHCP might also help, so I have read.
