Hi all,
I'm trying to "Orinoco Proxim 802.11b/g PC Card (Gold) - Model 8470-WD" to work under Linux. Anybody ever succeeded? It's a very confusing quest... some (shopping) sites indicate that it's using the Atheros chipset, but Atheros.com does not confirm this (http://customerproducts.atheros.com/customerproducts/). If not, what chipset *is* it using? No mention on 'http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz' neither. This is the second card I try already. Bought it bacause it has 'Orinoco' in the name, but I strongly doubt it... Thank you! J. |

I don't know if yours uses the same chipset but you may want to try the drivers found here; http://www.agere.com/support/drivers/ Good luck. -- "Now are you talking about what it is you know Or just repeating what it was you heard."
