Default Wireless PCI question

Hi all,

Sorry for the cross post I fat fingered the newsgroup.

I have a wireless Linksys WMP11 card. This is a wireless card in a desktop
box hanging of the pci bus. I am having troubles getting it to work and
would appreciate help.

I have SUSE 9.0 on the box and have looked at many pages of documentation
but could not make the card work. To the best of my knowledge the card has
a prism2 chipset but it could be broadcom according to

http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html

How can I find out? cardctl is not on the system and to the best of my
knowledg only works for pcmcia bus.

When I try to initialize the prism2_pci module I get the following error:

init_module: No such device

in the syslog I find the following:

prism2_init: prism2_pci.o: 0.2.1-pre9 Loaded
prism2_init: dev_info is: prism2_pci
prism2_init: No devices found driver not installed.
p80211.o: 0.2.1-pre9 Unloaded

Also in the syslog.

/sbin/hotplug[6167]: no runnable /etc/hotplug/wlan.agent installed

The card shows up as "Linksys Ethernet Controller" in Yast2 but when I try
to configure it I cannot set any wireless options, i.e. ESSID and WEP
keys.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert
