Default Compaq Presario 4770

If you have Debian GNU/Linux on a Compaq Presario 4770, it would help
out a lot more.

I have a Compaq Presario 4770, it has Debian GNU/Linux 3.0. I want to
get the internet on it but it hasn't worked. When I have the network
interface card (NIC) in the computer, it boots up and immediately goes
to this:

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 071)
Copyright (c) 1997,1998,1999 Intel Corporation
PXE-E00: Could not find enough free base memory.

When the NIC isn't in the computer, it boots up normally. Maybe I
installed Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 wrong. If so, I don't mind if I have to
reinstall it. I'm not able to get into the BIOS. I've tried basically
everything. I downloaded some stuff off the internet to get into it
but it said that I didn't have enough free base memory.

This is one big mess. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
