Default networking with rh9 and xphome??

I have dual boot rh9 and win98 (192.168.0.2)and another machine dual boot
rh9 and XPhome (192.168.0.10).

Linux to linux netwoking is set up and works fine. So I wanted to use the
same server machine to give internet access to the xp partition.

I have worked on this for quite awhile with no success.

Since I am positive of the 192.168.0.2 settings I thought that getting the
xphome machine to have inet access would be a simple thing, it has not.

My question is "Can someone verify that the XP HOME version can do this?" I
have read that it is limited and working with it I find it to be pretty
lame but it is what I have so I was trying to get it to work.

Talking to someone that has it working would help a lot.

thanks
joe

You will get XP home working in this configuration. Without telling us what
you have tried though, its hard to say what you are doing wrong. You will
need to set the XP subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and make its gateway
192.168.0.2. Setup IE by going to Tools->interet options, then goto
connections and click on "Lan Settings" then auto detect or something like
that.
You will also need to make sure that you have not got any firewall etc.
blocking the address.
