I'm connected to an 1 Mbit SDSL line, through the tests found at
dslreports.com I found out this: Download speed: 894 kbps A 109.1 KB/sec transfer rate Upload speed : 888 kbps My providers support personell says that about 128 KB/ps download is good on a 1 Mbit line, but I don't trust them fully as the persons in question really doesn't have any experience using Linux. The maximum download speed at any time from any place is 119 KB/sec I suspect there's a local configuration problem that needs to be solved, or I could just be plain stupid :) Please help! |

We have 1.5 sdsl at work. No chance for extensive testing, but 1 quick test was 1273/950 or 155.4 KB/sec down. You have a connection rated 2/3rds as fast doing better than 2/3rds of that. So be happy. -- David Efflandt - All spam ignored http://www.de-srv.com/ |
