Default Two device numbers...help

Hello,
I'm running RedHat 9 on a IBM THinkpad 770ED and using (or trying to) an
Ovislink Cardbus PCMCIA ethernet card.
When I issue a lspci command, it says (amoung other things): Unknown
device ab08 (rev 11).
But when I use command cardctl ident I get:
manfid: 0x13d1, 0xab02
I have only one card but get two device ids.
When I asked the card maker, their support said:
Card VID and PID is: 13d1/ ab02 or 13d1/ab08
Now I seem to have RedHat taking both.
Is there some way anyone knows that I can force the system to use or see
just one device id?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards,
Bob
