Hello,
I used to run RH7.2. I have my network account/userid mounted (via /etc/auto.home) in the Linux PC, domainname setup OK. So, I can login locally as the network account/userid. Another machine is running RH 8.0. I copied all the NFS stuff from the RH7.2 PC. I can "cd /home/nfs_userid" but when I login as the nfs_userid, it said "user not exist". Apparently, the home dir of the nfs_userid is in the local PC. I check /etc/passwd file, it is OK (same as RH7.2 PC's). Anything else I have to setup differently on Redhat 8.0 (kernel 2.4.18-14)? Thanks a lot. Simon |
