Hi everyone,
I suspect the ISP has blocked port 25 of the IP I used, so I would like to test it from a host outside the ISP network. Does any one know where I can find a free telnet login account such that I can ping and traceroute back to my server to confirm it? Or any other newsgroup appropriate for this question? Appreciate for your reply. Rgds, wd |

Pinging or traceroute wouldn't tell you whether or not port 25 was being blocked. If you give me your IP I'll run nmap on it and tell you everything I can see ;-) gareth Ansell |

Your IP was in the headers of your posting, so I thought I'd check for you. Either: a) That's not your IP, you're using another machine. b) You have the machine disconnected/shutdown. c) You have a *very* tight firewall (good for you!) In any case I can't connect to port 25, or anything else. If you want me to try again at a specific time, just email me. -- Jim Buchanan jbuchana@buchanan1.net =================== http://www.buchanan1.net/ ========================== "Nothing is real but the way that I feel, and I feel like going down, down, down..." -Ronnie James Dio ================= Visit: http://www.thehungersite.com ================== |
