Default NIC HA: Swapping adapter software

Hello all.

I would like to know if is there any software that would control the
NIC availability. The software would monitor 2 NICs on a given machine,
and in case one of them fails it would swap adapters by rearranging IP
addresses and ALSO the MacAddress (thru some ARP Spoof method so that
the nearby router would identify the former IP+NIC on the "new" one)

I am not interested in any CLUSTER applications, unless I could use
only a module of it.

Thanks for your help!
Jeffo.
