re: SAMBA Question Solved

Thanks very much to /dev/rob0 for the solution and to Mark from
Samba.Netfirms.Com for helping me with newsgroup protocol.

I am a newbie with Linux and just trying to learn my way around outside my
very familiar Windoze environment.

Bottom line: I am now able to see and access my Windows shares from
Redhat8.0 and the 'session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGIN_FAILURE' msg was
fixed by adding my root password to the smbpasswd file and setting the same
root userid and password in XP Pro.
