Hi,
There is a specific situation with which I want to deal and I wonder if someone has some clue. I have a dhcp server in a central premise. This server controls two subnets and may receive messages from relay agents of these subnets. The same devices may be moved within these two subnets. In the database of the server we have included entries for these devices for both the two subnets. Is it possible to do something so that the server understands from the giaddr of the relay agent which address to assign to the device ? ( I know that in theory I could put as an option in the devices the subnet they are moved in, but unfortunately in my situation I do not have this luxury ) |
