A Linux newbie asks: Is Samba already installed and running after the

Thanks for your > help. Distrowatch (search for live cds) http://distrowatch.com/search.php?category=Live+CD Look for your favourite distro and click, then check under packages. Note, unless you're low on swap and RAM, you can easily install Samba in Ubuntu during the live session (if it's not included). apt-get install samba-common I don't use samba, so I can't remember if it comes with the LiveCD. -- As we enjoy great advantages from inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously. --Benjamin Franklin |
