Default Reboot on Ethernet?

Is there some way of setting up a linux server, so that its network
card could reboot it in case if it is down? I have some vague
recollections about that.

Again: I want to be able, when a machine is down, to send something to
its ethernet card so that it automatically boots.

How can I do it?

thanks
