Seems like. However Munich is just one pilot in a long run
project.


Initial costs are trivial enough once all other community
administrations in Germany populated with about 80 million people
start migrating to Linux, followed by the other about 400
million EU habitants (including new members in 2007).

Iirc there are a few other small community administrations that
already switch to Linux, but they just made a fraction of
publicity Munich is getting. Who knows Schwaebisch-Hall or how it
is called?

Seems as if "world domination" continues as planned. ;-)

Utilizing LTSP (http://www.ltsp.org) would cut down TCO even much
more. Strange that none seemed to have the idea until now?
