I just wanted to share my experience today with installing Xandros. I
owned no stock in this product. I had purchased a copy a little over a year ago of the Xandros-Desktop version. I go this because it included Crossover. I installed this on a Sony machine with XP-Pro. XP had partitioned the drive into C: with 40gig and D: with 80gig. Xandros partitioned the 80gig so that there was 20gig for XP (data) and the rest for Xandros. Since the distribution was a year old, I knew it needed updating. That was built in to do, and did so seemlessly. Using Crossover I installed Filemaker Pro 5.5 which was not listed as a supported application. It was smooth. Opening FMPro I was able to open a file that was open on my Mac machine. I tried to install Simply Accounting and it did not work at all. |
