i have redhat 7.3 installation in which the xmms player plays fine but
the equalizer has never worked. i recently upgraded (re-compiled) the xmms to version 1.2.9, which i believe is the most recent stable version, in hopes of getting the equalizer to work, but it doesn't. the little on button in the equalizer is highlighted but to no avail. i am playing wav files unmolested that are stored on disk. any pointers on this would be appreciated. smithy |

Redhat 7.3's xmms equalizer worked just fine out of the box. Start xmms in a command window and see what it says when you try to use the equilizer. |
