Default Two VGA text screens

Hi everybody,

For some fkind of cashier application I have to attach a second LCD
monitor to a RedHat 7.2 box. You know, one screen for the operator,
another one for the customer. Obviously, these displays should show
different information.... :-)

To demonstrate a working configuration, I have to write a little
application program that displays 2 different text messages on the
screens. There is no need for graphics like X etc.

Somebody pointed me in the direction "use 2 framebuffers"....
but sorry, I have no idea how to do that.

Does anybody have an idea or pointer for me?

Thank you very much,
Wolf
