Default Radeon 9000 and 2.4.20-20smp kernel

To any and every soul who has fought with their Radeon 9000 card:

What tweaks have you used in order for your video card to behave? I've
tried Google, ATI, and Linuxdoc.org to find out what can be done... to no
avail.

All help greatly appreciated!

You'll have to be more specific about the problem:

1) What driver are you using? (ATI's own or open source?)

2) What is the exact problem you're having? ("Not behaving" is a lousy
description of the problem.)

3) What distro are you using? (2.4.20-20smp is *not* a stock kernel
version; it is a distribution-specific kernel.)

OS.

I'm interested in compiling and publishing a list of "options" that people
are using in their config files for the card, regardless of the driver
they are using. I've looked everywhere I can think of for the same, to no
avail. The compilation will run something along the lines of:

if (problem experienced)
& you are using (place name of driver here) then (add following line to
config file)

Do you have a Radeon? Have you added any "option" parameters to your
config file? If so, what are they?
