Default add EDO ram, 2k or 4k refresh? chipset history?

I want to add EDO rem to a 1997 NEC p166mmx pc with
Intel Triton 82430VX PCI chipset. There are 2k refresh
EDO ram and 4k refresh EDO ram on the market. 4k refresh
EDO ram is cheaper, but is only good for Intel TX chipset
or newer. Is Intel Triton 82430VX PCI chipset newer than
Intel TX chipset? Thank you for your help.

Uncached memory is still much faster than swapping to disk, so if they
need more memory, then they should add more memory.
