First check what free does reports, then openup the machine and
looks into it.

total 13680 used 12956 free 724 shared 4880 buffers 948 cached 8824

Inside:

In what I am pretty sure are 4 RAM slots in the MB, there are two cards with
two chips on each. The back of each card says:

SEC KMM53211200AW-6

9527 Korea
