To get at Mandrake Club, you have to join the Club, but the RPMs may not
work with SuSE.

I am running a tarball version of SpamAssassin, which I downloaded (I think)
from Freshmeat.net. It is also available via CPAN as Mail::SpamAssassin. I chose the older version to keep my database working. The newer version can't use it, so I would have had to start again. The docs have a procedure for integrating it into kmail, which might work with Sylpheed - it depends on the filters available.

It may be too late now, but I can give you a JavaScript which will make your address look OK on the site and be clickable, but hide it in the HTML page the spam bots look at. Please confirm that your email domain starts with "zw".

HTH,

Doug.

Default sylpheed-claws-spamassassin-plugin

Hi all,

does anyone know where I can download this from? I'm running SuSE 8.1 &
Sylpheed 0.8.1 claws. The only links I've found so far all point to
MandrakeClub.com, which I can't get at.

Any help would be very appreciated, since my site's webmaster address has
been harvested and I'm getting a load of spam now.

TIA,

Garry

Hi Doug,

The JavaScript will be too late, but I'm interested anyway, please - the
address listed is correct, just swap the numbers for relevant letters (0=o,
4=a).

I'll hunt through for the docs for kmail, then see if I can adapt them.

Thanks,

Garry

Hi Garry,

I've not tried the SpamAssassin plugin, but I've been using Bogofilter
with Claws for a few weeks now and it's working nicely. Check out
http://linux.oreillynet.com/pub/a/li...ogofilter.html
for an easy how-to; just be sure to read the errata at the bottom of the
article.

Cheers,

dt
