If you add more sides to it, it is no longer a cube.

Pentagonal/hexagonal/heptagonal ... prism. How pedantic. The thing
that *should* work is to open CompizConfig Settings Manager, General->
Desktop Size, and set the "horizontal" number to something larger than
4.

This always cracked me up. Who, other than someone who wants to actually
get some work done, would have anything but all maximized windows to even see a
prism? I guess it's cool if you have nothing better to do ...."oooh, lookee
the spinning prism in the background". I row through max windows via alt-tab
and hardly ever see my desktop other than boot-up. (whatsa wallpaper?)

Maximized windows? In GUI environments, I generally arrange windows
such that I can see the useful areas of 4 or 5 windows at once. I only
use maximized windows when I'm using a computer to play movies or games,
since modern life requires multitasking and multiprocessing. Then
again, YMMV and EPID.

Hello! The whole *POINT* of compiz-fusion is eye candy. I have used
virtual desktops since 1999 and have never needed more than 3 of them,
but again, EPID.

I do the same, especially when prepping an ebay sell. VDs for mozzy and
kview, quanta, and gimp. Maybe someday I can do multi-gui's on one screen.
A big ol' flat panel or projector.....
