Or maybe this is a way of saying Oracle bit-off (pun) more than it
chew. One way to improve relations with Red Hat is to give them
credit for the OS and to provide strong support for Oracle on Linux
including the Linux pieces for a fee.

understand Linux at all.

Linux is NOT a PC operating system.

Which is a perfectly sensible viewpoint from
a *purely Oracle* perspective, but bloody nonsense
from the viewpoint of various other vendors using
Linux in PVR's, Mobile phones, PDAs, routers,
sound studio software, all of which have different
requirments.
