Of course, because of your embedded denial, you refuse to see that all of this "violence" is the response to the hundreds of years that the Xtians have been terrorizing them with the crusades and the Bush/Bush/Cheney invasion and such. I don't know from where you think your authority stems, but you're posting to USENET, where the only authority you have is the wit you can use to exert pressure on your readers in order to convince them that you're right and that they're wrong if they're not in agreement with your edicts. Google groups (where you're posting from) is a seriously flawed SPAM-enhancing web-based interface which allows you noobs to read and, unfortunately, to post to USENET without an understanding of how USENET works, a real newsreader, or an account with a real USENET service provider. Had you decided to do the right thing and lurk for a while, in order to learn the culture of sci.electronics.design, where I'm posting from, you might have learned that nothing is off topic here except for SPAM. When there's idle time available we'll often trade recipes, beat each other up about our political affiliations, share photographs, and relate anecdotes which have nothing to do with electronic design. And more. If you find that objectionable then I suggest you follow your own advice and "Get off of this NG." JF |

Ah, so it is our fault that muslims are killing other muslims at about at rate of about 300:1; that is for every single muslim killed by "the West", muslim-on-muslim violence kills 300. That makes me feel so much better already. Not that I care of course; In particular I do not think "the West" should even *be* in muslim countries. Let them sort themselves and their own mess out. They are clearly at least 300 times better at it than we are! > > Thanks, > Rich > PS Go read a book! The crusades was the natural response to repeated islamic conquest against western territories (and at the same time, the west got rid of the most ignorant, violent and fanatic part of the population as well as a good deal of the most feared nobility thereby giving civilisation a chance to rise). *That's* how it's done. The US "Peacekeeping" in the middle east is the opposite process, breeding stupidity and fanatism by keeping them off each others throats so evolution never takes place (and making us stupid as well because we have to "think" (i.e. *not* think, instead relying on force, threats, fantasy and dogma) like the opponent). |

The first time I read what Rich wrote, I took him seriously, the second time I thought he was being ironic, the thirs time I thought he might be being serious after all. BTW, the "rapture" is something invented by a certain sort of "Christian" in recent decades, it is not an aspects of traditional or mainstream Christianity. Matthew Huntbach |
