Default Ubuntu Hardy Alpha

I am running Ubuntu Hardy Alpha on a few machines now (my future
webserver, laptop, and soon to be replacement personal home server).

I want to ask a question just to make sure: every night I do a system
update (aptitude update; aptitude safe-upgrade).

Would it be true to say that on the next day after Ubuntu Hardy
becomes production, I would get the production version through a
routine system update?

I am almost sure that the answer is yes, but I wanted to make sure.

I'm not sure that is correct. What if the alpha includes applications/
utilities etc. not included in the production release. Would they be
removed?

Have you asked this on alt.os.linux.ubuntu?

Probably not, but as long as they're not available via any repository listed
in your sources.list, aptitude will list those packages in its "obsolete or
locally-created packages" section.
