How much of a load can I take?

Some people have asked me to host for them.
Assume I can change hardware if needed.
I have a 1.1 sdsl connection (up and down)
What sort of services can I offer, and how much load will that
much bandwith take and still get good performace

Could I handle:
Streaming media?
High graphics websites
database backed transactions?
a Game server?
email?
10 users?
50 users?
100 users?
500 users?

Or just a few simple websites.
