Default (DNS Question) Does This Work?

I have a cluster of web servers using Linux Virtual Server. However,
there is still a single point of failure: the load-balancer.

Could I set my domain's primary DNS server to the address of the first
load-balancer (let's call it HAMLET), which contains a master DNS
record that points www.example.com to HAMLET's IP address, and my
domain's second DNS server to the address of the second load-balancer
(let's call it MACBETH), which contains a master DNS record that
points www.example.com to MACBETH's IP address?

I know this will work as long as the two records don't try to sync
with one another. If they are both master records will they try to
sync?
