I have a cluster of web servers using Linux Virtual Server. However,
there is still a single point of failure: the load-balancer. Could I set my domain's primary DNS server to the address of the first load-balancer (let's call it HAMLET), which contains a master DNS record that points www.example.com to HAMLET's IP address, and my domain's second DNS server to the address of the second load-balancer (let's call it MACBETH), which contains a master DNS record that points www.example.com to MACBETH's IP address? I know this will work as long as the two records don't try to sync with one another. If they are both master records will they try to sync? Sean Callaway Sean Callaway Technologies www.scallaway.com |
