Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit I downloaded pre-compiled IPF binaries ipf-3.4.32-Sol8-sparc-64bit.pkg.gz from (http://www1.maraudingpirates.org:8080/ipfilter/) and installed on my Sun fire box (SPARC) running Solaris 8 with 64 bit kernel. Everything works OK except that ipf -D does not work. When I issue ipf -D, there is no erroe. But ipf -V shows ipf is still running and ipfstat -i will still give you the current rule list. I have another IPF 4.10 coming together with Solaris 10. When use ipf -D and then ipf -V, it will show that IPF is not running and other ipf utility tools will not work as well. Is this a bug? If yes, will the latest release fit it? Are there any binaries from the latest code available? Could it also be possible that something was not set correctly and the binaries are OK? Thanks for your help! Beiyan --------------------------------- Yahoo!
