Sorry if I have confused you...

Of course it is sun pppd (pppd version 2.4.0b1), but when you use it the interface it creates is SPPP.

How are you using sppp with Solaris 9? sppp was removed from the 10/02
version of Solaris 8 and replaced with pppd.
