Then you don't want to authenticate users against LDAP. http://deployingradius.com/documents...s/oracles.html You want FreeRADIUS to read the clear-text passwords from LDAP, and then do the authentication itself. Remember, LDAP is a database, not an authentication server. FreeRADIUS is an authentication server, not a database. The O'Reilly OpenLDAP book has a good chapter on getting LDAP working with FreeRADIUS. I recommend reading it.
