Yes, this is a SUN V210 (sparc) running Solaris 8. And I'm using
OpenSSL from sunfreewhere.com and it is version 0.9.7c.

One think I was wondering by the backtrace was the key pointer to an
empty value or was that just how gdb displayed it with the pointer
address and the "". At that point in the core dump is it possible to
look at the two values that were being passed to crypt?
