Radiusd Restart - any side affects

If I was to run a /etc/init.d/radiusd restart would it stop accounting
or affect users logged in? Or would the only effect be that it
wouldn't be reachable for a few seconds?

/etc/init.d/radiusd reload appears to not unload Radius but when I use
it, it says it's sucessful but has unloaded radius.
