Hi.

No, this call fixed the problem. But everthing get's better at the moment, I found out today... It seems that this error is no longer there in combination of courier-0.59.0 and my current Gentoo systems. Either they changed something in the version check or Sam's own libtool-version got updated now. So we are all really happy and I'll get a revised ebuild version without all this autoconf-stuff in Portage soon. Just the gdbmobj-subdirectory needs to be rebuild beacuse of the lately submitted patch fixing --as-needed. I think this change will be in the next courier release and we can drop this in the future. I'm really happy to see this problem gone, it makes building courier in Gentoo much easier and fixes the issue of this thread the other way round. But I still feel that shipping the autotools-environment in a non-working state is not very lucky, so the m4-files should be included anyway for future releases. regards, Bernd -- People who ask, `Can I ask you a question?' don't really give you a choice, do they? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges. My impression is that Sam understands this and although he obviously questions the wisdom and necessity of re-running the autotools on the stable Courier source, he has indicated that the next release will contain the missing m4 directory. -- Lindsay Haisley | "In an open world, | PGP public key FMP Computer Services | who needs Windows | available at 512-259-1190 | or Gates" | http://pubkeys.fmp.com http://www.fmp.com | | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
