We have had this before but it does not work.

It worked for log files but FastCGI-sockets and the given courier problems=
=20
persisted.
The apache error message changed, it did not complain about file descriptor=
=20
limit but about a file descriptor number above "FD_SETSIZE".
I don't know internals of this. :)
