Default [courier-users] Courier Delay

Hi,

every time I send an email from my client (Thunderbird) using Courier
(on either port 25 or 587) there seems to be a 30 second delay before it
is accepted by the server.

Also if I telnet to the server on port 25 or 587 there is a 30 second
delay before the banner appears.

What is causing this delay please and can I change it ?

It does not happen with my old server running sendmail.

Thanks
Rob
