Dear all, I have a Debian box with a Courier Imap server with SSL
support in my mail server which is in the DMZ from the main network of my work. I have also a lot of hosts behind an inner firewall from my main network, which are connected via LAN to the mail server through the inner firewall using NAT, so all of these hosts use the same IP to read the messages via IMAP SSL. The IMAP SSL clients are Outlook Express and Thunderbird, and both have errors frequently when they try to read mail: sometimes they can open the Inbox, Sent and Trash folders...after that it works OK...and after that it fails...and so on. The Outlook gives the error 0x800CCC0F and the Thunderbird error suggests to decrease the numbre of cache connections fromthe Imap's advanced setting tab (I do this but it still fails). Somebody tells me that I have to change the MAXPERIP parameter from /etc/courier/imapd or the SSL related imap daemon from 4 to 20, so more hosts with the same IP can contact the IMAP server simultaneously without problems. Do you have any suggestion to me ??? Really thanks, Alejandro ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
