(the server is not=20 > loaded at all, so mails are sent quickly) What part of "if you don't want mail delivery to take place, run courier=20 stop" do you not understand? "courier stop" **DOES NOT** stop Courier from accepting new mail. New=20 mail will continue to be received via SMTP, or even via the local sendmai= l=20 command. It just won't appear in the output of "mailq" until you run=20 "courier start". All new mail gets saved in a temporary holding director= y. =20 When you later run "courier start", all mail that has been received, will = be=20 added to the mail queue, and delivered normally. If you're doing something that affects mail delivery, "courier stop" is=20 sufficient to suspend mail delivery from taking place, while you do whate= ver=20 you need to do. Then, run "courier start", to begin working on the backl= og. > My goal is to see something in mailq whereas delivery is stopped. >=20 > Any suggestion? Yes. That something appearing or not appearing in the mail queue is=20 completely irrelevant. --=_commodore.email-scan.com-2978-1169514419-0001-2 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBFtV+wx9p3GYHlUOIRAt0gAJ0dL0d2aa5GjuZG2yn1kN +3hqeyuwCdFQuD pdtmF0h8mM2Ygc9YvwRMQ0A= =Z+0+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=_commodore.email-scan.com-2978-1169514419-0001-2-- --===============0746575833== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
