Default [courier-users] dying POP3 Connections

Hello,

I am not quite sure if this is the correct place to ask, if not just=20
give me a hint where to go.

Problem:
I am running a Gentoo box with courier-pop/imap in conjunction with=20
vpopmail and qmail. Works on several boxes pretty flawless.

One user now got a problem all in the sudden with a couple of email=20
accounts she is fetching (POP3). I have to point out, that this=20
email accounts are fetched by a couple of users.

The problem is, that under "The Bat" but even with a fresh installed=20
Thunderbird the connections dies after after a couple of seconds or=20
even at once.=20

at this point, the connection is dead. Any ideas ?

All other users in the network works fine, so I am guessing that its=20
a client problem. On the other hand it happen with two different=20
email clients, so I am a bit puzzled. Any help is appreciated.
