This is a MIME GnuPG-signed message. If you see this text, it means that

The Internet standard for MIME PGP messages, RFC 2015, was published in 1996.

Just remove the account, and then add it back in.

A couple.

1) Better support for internationalized folder names

2) No restrictions on folder names (IMAP can't use periods or slashes in
folder names)

3) About 25% faster downloading of attachments

4) Do not need to transmit the message twice when sending mail (once to send
it via SMTP, second time to upload it to the send mail folder). The message
is simultaneously sent and saved in the folder.
