That's wrong. Courier-IMAP 3.08 is the standalone IMAP server, that cannot
be used with Courier, which has its own build of the IMAP server that
carries the same version number.

Additionally, this is ancient software. The current version of Courier-IMAp
is 4.0.6. The current version of Courier is 0.52.2

Either upgrade to the current version of Courier, 0.52.2. Or, if you need
only the IMAP server, uninstall Courier and upgrade to Courier-IMAP 4.0.6.
