I know, but I think the basic idea is clear.

Who ever said I configured it to something that does not exist? I just
don't need it, and therefore don't want to mount it via nfs.

I need it when a real users logs in to the box, ok. But just for
reading mails via imap, the chdir is just superflous to my setup.

It makes the automounter mount the homedirectory for nothing.


So a configurable optionally variable instead of chdir(homedir);
would be so great.

Hope I made my points more clear now.
