No, it's not. Courier's default configuration rejects mail to nonexistent
recipients. You must've done something yourself, such as configure mail for
an entire domain to be delivered to an external program or a utility, that
manually rejects nonexistent addresses.

Undo whatever you did to Courier's default configuration.
