I have the same problem on a couple servers. Dictionary attacks from spam
zombies. The spamhaus sbl-xbl took care of almost all of this for me. If you
can live with blacklists, try adding the following line to your esmtpd:

BLACKLISTS='-block=sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org,BLOCK'
